Eurobirdwatch15

Enjoy with us the brightness of winter plumage of the Sanderlings (Calidris alba), migrating further south in small flocs towards their wintering grounds. On the 3rd of October 2015, for EuroBirdwatch15, we had the chance to observe them running quickly at the edge of the surf and looking for small arthropods along the Karavasta shore, Adriatic coast. Albania became part of the Eurobirdwatch15 weekend. AOS organized the monitoring of migratory birds in two areas, where 88 species of birds (circa 13222 individuals) were observed. In total, all over Europe, were counted around 4.3 millions of migratory birds.
